  • Departure date: Tue, Fri and Sun (Except for Jan. 1 – 3 and Dec. 30 – 31)
  • Time: 8:15 – approx. 19:30
  • Lunch: Included
  • Due to bad weather (typhoon, heavy snow and so on), sometimes trains to Koyasan may be stopped. In this case we will take a substitute bus and the itinerary may change.
  • English-speaking guide service is included.
  • Tour operated for minimum of 1 person.

Day 1
Kyoto station

Assemble at Nippon Travel Agency office at Kyoto station. Transfer to Mt.Koya by Train and Bus.

Day 2
Mt.KOYA (Koyasan)

Koyasan is a UNESCO World Heritage site as one of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range. Being for more than 1200 years since Kukai (空海) founded a monastery in Koyasan.

It is the headquarters of the Koyasan sect of Shingon Buddhism, a faith with a wide following throughout Japan.

Over 100 temples have sprung up along the streets of Koyasan.

Day 3

Kongobuji temple is the most important temple which is the head temple of Shingon Buddhism.

Day 4

Okunoin is the site of Kobo Daishi's mausoleum.
