With combination of The Nostalgic Japan Tour and The Imperial and Spiritual Japan Tour, you will see and feel both the scenic and the cultural aspect of Japan.
The highlights of this trip include the visit to Shirakawago, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage, Tokyo and Kyoto, the past and present capitals of Japan, and also Mt.Koya, the "Mecca" of the Shingon Esoteric sect of Buddhism.

  • Languages available are Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish. Except Day 1, arrival day : Available only English speaking assistant.
  • Flexible itinerary : you can decide what to see in each city and route.
  • The tours are available for single travellers.

Day 1

Arrive at Narita (Narita International Airport) or Haneda (Tokyo International Airport).

You will be met by a NTA representative and helped to board an airport bus.

Transfer to hotel by bus (Travel Time aproximately 85min.).

Day 2

Guided sightseeing in Tokyo (9:00-17:00) using public transport.

You can select your own itinerary, see suggested routes on page 9.

Day 3

Transfer to Hakone with your guide. Sightseeing in Hakone using public transport.

Enjoy panoramic vistas of Mt.Fuji (weather permitting), Owakudani (ropeway ride) and Lake Ashi (boat cruise ).

Day 4

Transfer to Odawara by car.

Odawara to Nagoya by bullet train , Nagoya to Takayama by express train (Travel Time 260 min.)

Your guide will meet you at the platform of Nagoya station.

Sightseeing in Takayama using public transport.

Yatai Kaikan / Jinya House / Kamisannomachi area

Day 5

Visit morning market in Takayama.

Transfer to Shirakawago by local bus with your guide. (Travel Time 60min.).

Sightseeing in Shirakawago village.

Visit Kanda House and Observatory.

After sightseeing transfer to Kanazawa by local bus with your guide.

(Travel Time 90min.)

Day 6

Guided sightseeing in Kanazawa using public transport.

Kenroku-en / Higashichaya street/ Nagamachi / Nomura Samurai House / Ohmicho market

Transfer to Kyoto by express train by yourself. (No guide) (Travel Time 120min.)

Upon arrival at Kyoto station, you will be met by an English speaking assistant.

Transfer to your hotel with the assistant.

Day 7

Guided sightseeing in Kyoto (9:00 - 17:00) using public transport.

You can select your own itinerary, see the following suggested routes.

●Sample 1 "WEST OF KYOTO"

Arashiyama area - Tenryuji Temple - Kinkakuji temple - Nijo-jo castle

●Sample 2 "EAST OF KYOTO"

Kiyomizu temple - Gion area - Nanzenji temple - Heian shrine

●Sample 3 "SOUTH OF KYOTO"

Sanju sangendo - Fushimi Inari taisha Shrine - Byodoin-tea ceremony

After sightseeing go back to your hotel.

Day 8

Free time, you can select your own itinerary.

Day 9

Transfer to Mt.Koya by local trainand cable car with your guide.

(Travel Time 160min.)

Sightseeing in Mt.Koya using public transport.

Okunoin / Kongobuji / Kondo/ Tokugawa Cemetery.

Stay overnight in a temple at Mt.Koya. Shojin Ryori (vegitarian dinner) included.

Day 10

Morning ceremony, vegetarian breakfast.

Leave from Mt.Koya to Kumano with your guide by private car.

Visit Kumano Hongu Shrine and the ancient pilgrimage trails "Kumano Kodo".

You can walk a part of this trail with your guide (approximately 60 minutes).

After sightseeing transfer to your ryokan in Kawayu or Yunomine.

Day 11

Breakfast at your ryokan. Guided sightseeing in Nachi by private car.

Visit Nachi Shrine and Nachi Waterfall.

You can walk a part of the pilgrimage trail with your guide (approximately 60 minutes).

After sightseeing, transfer to Kiikatsuura station and get on an express train to Osaka.

Arrival at Tennoji station and transfer to your hotel in Osaka.

Day 12

Guided sightseeing in Osaka (09:00 - 13:00) using public transport.

Osaka Castle / Umeda Sky Building Observatory / Dotombori area

Day 13

Transfer to Kansai International Airport by airport bus (Travel Time aproximately 50min.)

The cost includes

  • Hotel : Tokyo (2nights), Takayama (1night), Kanazawa (1night), Kyoto (3nights) and Osaka (2nights)
  • Ryokan : Hakone (1night) and Kawayu or Yunomine Onsen (1night)
  • Shukubo : Mt.Koya (1night)
  • Meal : Lunch at Hakone Dinner & breakfast at Hakone, Mt.Koya and Kawayu or Yunomine Onsen (Breakfast supplement is available)
  • Guide & assistant : Private Guide (Except Day 1, 8 & 13) and English speaking assistant (Day 1)
  • Train : Ordinary class reserved seat (Day 3, 4, 6, 9 & 11)
